What point in their timeline?: Vague mid-game somewhere, where his character is between bubbling sweetheart in love, and card playing drinking scoundrel XD He changes a lot (or rather, his personality becomes more evident) from beginning of the game to end.

Abilities/powers: Jansen is a mage that specializes in black magic, but he does know a little bit of white magic. He knows enough white magic to heal, but not to a great extent. Black magic is where his talents are; he can cast offensive spells that involve the elements (wind, water, earth, fire) as well as a wide range of other classic black magic spells like paralyze, petrify, poison, ect. He also knows a devastating black magic attack called Leveler, which is very powerful; basically just a mega blast of black magic that takes ages to cast so if you ever find yourself on the bad end of it.... *cough* just step out of the way. He uses his staff for magic, but that only enhances it. He’s very capable of magic with only himself~ Over all, he’s a mage not to be messed with.

Personality:Jansen is very easy going, very self confident. He’s got a silver tongue with the ladies, and enough money to impress them where that fails. He loves to drink, party, and have fun. His morals are a little... loose. Oh, he’ll do what’s right, but what he deems right and what is actually right are sometimes very different. He can be cocky, but when you’re powerful like him, why not be? He loves women, sex, and isn’t above paying for a hooker xD! He’s a really nice guy though, very sweet and kind, even if he tries to hide it. Deep down he's a good person, but for some reason, he's not to comfortable letting people know that. He’s a trickster, too. Not above cheating at cards, or saying something not quite true (but not quite a lie) to get the reaction he wants. Most of all he really just loves indulging himself, and experiencing the pleasures of life.

History:Jansen was hired by an immortal named Gongora to keep tabs on another immortal named Kaim, who Gongora sent to check out a place called Grand Staff. Jansen was told to use this special one time use magical item if either Kaim or Seth (the other immoral traveling with them) showed signs of recovering their memory. Jansen seemed to delight in pestering Kaim about his returning memories, never really to concerned about using the spell. He followed the pair to Grand Staff, where they were confronted by warriors of another nation, Numaria. They were captured, and brought on board a ship called the white boa. There, Jansen decided to use the memory spell to get everyone out of the dungeon by casting it on the guard. Then, he went off on his own (despite the protest of his two companions) to attempt to seduce the queen on board.

He used a sleeping spell to put her to sleep and tried to run off with her, but she woke up and used to own magic to freeze his legs. The escape attempt failed, Jansen, Kaim and Seth were taken all the way to Numaria, where the queen Ming set them free. The trio travel around to the different continents, trying to find clues to the immortal’s painful pasts. When Jansen discovers that Gongora was only using him to spy on the other immortals, he gets very angry and tells Gongora he isn’t going to help him anymore. He wasn’t aware that Gongora was using him as a spy-cam through magic, only that he was supposed to be keeping an eye on the immortals.

So, Jansen decides to keep the money Gongora paid him, and just help Kaim and the others. They eventually decide they need to head to Grand Staff, which has by then been changed into a huge floating ship, and face down Gongora. Jansen also falls in love with queen Ming along the way, showing that he is capable of deeper feelings then lust; on the contrary, he’s quite a nervous, self conscious person when in love.
